2022 Jeep Gladiator at Dick Scott Auto Group

The Jeep Gladiator is a truly unique vehicle as it combines the capability of the Jeep Wrangler with the power of a truck. With the Gladiator, you get a crew-cab pickup truck with a 5-foot bed and more off-road prowess than any other truck on the market. Like the Wrangler, you can remove the doors and the roof of the Gladiator so you can get the complete feel of the outdoors. Under the hood, you get a choice of two engines, with one being a gas-powered V6 and the other being a diesel-powered engine. This power complements the unique interior, which has all the latest tech and luxury items. What else does the Gladiator offer? Continue reading below!

What are the available engines for the Gladiator?

The 2022 Jeep Gladiator has two engine options available, and they both provide you with an astonishing amount of power! Standard is a 3.6-liter V6 that pumps out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. You can pair this engine with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, either of which will provide you with one of the smoothest rides around. Additionally, most trims will give you the option for diesel-powered and turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that gets you a solid 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque which is spectacular for the class. The Gladiator comes standard with a 5-foot bed and four-wheel-drive, and if you want to tow something, the Gladiator is perfect as it can haul up to 7,650 pounds with a payload capacity of 1,700 pounds which tops the class.

Tell me about the features of the Gladiator

Sure thing! The Gladiator is not only one of the most powerful trucks on the market; it's also very well-equipped even at the base trim level. That base trim is the Sport which comes standard with cruise control, a manually adjustable tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, an eight-speaker audio system, and a 5-inch central display with voice control capability. Want a little more features? The Sport also has a soft folding top, removable doors, and a fold-down front windshield. More design features are available for the Sport S and Willy's trim. The next trim is the Overland which adds to this list with automatic headlights, power windows, heated power mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 7-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Heading off-road? Then check out the spectacular Rubicon trim, which has features like a 4.10 rear axle ratio, 33-inch all-terrain tires, fenders with increased clearance, FOX shock absorbers, locking front and rear differentials, and body-protecting rock rails and skid plates. Meanwhile, the Mojave trim rounds things out and is desert-rated with features like a reinforced frame, FOX internal bypass shock absorbers, and a Desert Rated badge.

Is the Gladiator a safe vehicle?

Now that we have talked about the Gladiator's power and features, it's also an incredibly safe pickup with several available safety systems that will keep you and your family safe no matter where you venture off to. Available is Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will scan the areas beside and behind the Gladiator so that you can make safer lane changes and back up easier as you will be able to see behind you! Another available safety system is the Adaptive Cruise Control system that allows you to maintain a pre-set distance between the Gladiator and the vehicle in front of it. Finally, we have the Rear Park Assist system that uses sonar sensors in the rear bumper so you can park easier.
