2022 Jeep Compass Debuts

The 2022 Jeep Compass features iconic Jeep design elements while adding notes of premium craftsmanship. The reshaped front fascia of the 2022 Compass features the iconic seven-slot grille surrounded by High Gloss Black accents, drawing focus over to the narrow, sophisticated LED headlamps. The middle grille also features High Gloss Black and houses new fog lights. Below, the lower grille is larger to enhance engine cooling while extenuating the Compass's upgraded, modern appearance. In addition, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk features updates of its own, most notably, the new signature antiglare hood decal in red and black. The Matte Black grille is exclusive to the new Compass Trailhawk. The middle grille seamlessly blends into the Matte Black lower grille that has larger fog lights integrated. The 30-degree approach angle of the Trailhawk is backed up by a new front skid plate. Higher trim levels add a dual-pane panoramic moonroof, body-colored lower trim with grey accents, painted side flares, a hands-free power liftgate, and more.

The interior design team of the 2022 Compass worked hard to create a one-of-a-kind premium feel for drivers and all their passengers. Occupants will instantly notice the roominess, attention to detail, and beautifully blended color palettes. The Compass's front cockpit and instrument panel have been redesigned with a painted or chrome-plated accent running the length of the panel, a wrapped mid-pad, and new slim vents. The dash has a horizontal theme with a contrasting Gloss Black center stack with a standard 8.4-inch and available and 10.1-inch touchscreen. These touchscreens display the next-generation Uconnect 5 software with wireless Apple and Android smartphone integration, dual Bluetooth connectivity, Amazon Alexa, five user profiles, and much more.

The 2022 Compass employs an efficient 2.4L Tigershark I4 engine. This delivers 177 horsepower, 172 lb-ft of torque, and up to 31 miles per gallon on the highway. The Tigershark engine is mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed automatic on all trims besides the Trailhawk, where a 9-speed automatic is standard. The Compass comes standard on a front-wheel-drive platform, but Jeep's legendary four-wheel-drive capability is available with its Active Drive system. Active Drive is an automatic four-wheel-drive system. Without driver intervention, this system seamlessly shifts in and out of four-wheel-drive. Active Drive will redistribute the engine torque when a loss of traction occurs, powering the wheels with the most traction and can shift up to 100% of available engine torque to the rear wheels.

The 2022 Compass will come with more than 75 available safety and security features. Starting off the lineup of standard safety features is full-speed forward mitigation. This uses advanced brake assist, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian/cyclist automatic emergency braking to prevent a frontal collision. LaneSense Active Lane Management is also standard with lane departure warning and lane-keep assist to help keep you centered in your lane. In addition, the blind spot monitoring system provides an extra set of eyes on your blindspots with audio and visual warnings while rear cross-path detection watches behind you. Other standard safety features include a wheel-specific tire pressure monitoring system, a switch-activated electric parking brake, and a backup camera. Available on higher trim levels of the 2022 Jeep Compass, you'll find adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and Highway Assist, which is a semi-autonomous driving system.
