Indian FTR Engine and Transmission

The 2022 Indian FTR offers an abundance of power to keep you entertained wherever your travels take you. The FTR features a liquid-cooled 1203 cc V-Twin engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. With a bore X stroke of 4.016 inches X 2.898 inches, the FTR tops out at 120 horsepower and 87 lb-ft of torque. The engine features a closed-loop fuel injection system with a 60mm bore.

Indian FTR Suspension and Braking

The 2022 FTR features a fully adjustable ZF Sachs inverted telescoping cartridge fork front suspension with a 43mm tube diameter and 120mm of travel. The rear suspension is also fully adjustable ZF Sachs piggyback IFP also with 120mm of travel. The fully adjustable nature of these suspension systems allows for a personalized ride feel to give drivers ultimate control. The FTR employs performance Brembo brakes for optimal stopping power. The front brakes consist of a dual 320mm t5 rotor with a four-piston caliper, while the rear brakes include a 260mm t5 rotor with a dual-piston caliper.

All of the FTR's dimensions have been optimized for peak performance, adding to the thrill it provides. It features an overall length of 87.5 inches and a wheelbase of 60 inches. The overall height of the FTR is 51.1 inches with a seat height of 30.7 inches and 17-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the ground clearance of the FTR is 6.5 inches. The FTR features an overall width of 32.7 inches. The fuel tank holds 3.4 gallons, and with a full tank, the FTR has a weight of 514 pounds.

Indian FTR Trim Levels and Features

The 2022 Indian FTR comes in three trim levels, FTR, FTR Rally, and FTR S. The base FTR trim features ABS, cruise control, a four-inch analog speedometer, a digital trip meter, odometer, tachometer, a low fuel lamp, and engine temperature gauge. The FTR's design features a Matte Black paint job with red accents, including the Indian fuel tank emblem, LED lighting, and cast black wheels with a red Indy stripe. The FTR Rally sets itself apart from the pack with Titanium Smoke paint, a brown seat, 19-inch wire wheels with knobby tires, Pro Taper Tracker handlebars, and a rally windscreen. The top-tier FTR S features electronic equipment like rain, standard, and sport drive modes, lean-angle sensitive ABS, traction control, stability control, wheelie control with lift mitigation, and more. Other FTR S features include a 4.3-inch Ride Control touchscreen with Bluetooth, Matte and Gloss Black paint options, Titanium Akropovic mufflers, and more. The FTR and FTR S trims feature a standard two-up seating layout, while the FTR Rally features a two-up Aviator style seat in brown.
